Hello, I’m Mina — and this is a space for coming home to yourself.
I created this blog for those of us who never quite felt seen, who carry invisible wounds, who crave quiet depth in a world of noise. This space is for curious minds, overwhelmed mothers, and seekers of meaning — people who want to live intentionally, heal deeply, and raise children with presence and care.
You’ll find here what I’ve spent over a decade collecting: emotional tools, body wisdom, soulful reflections, and simple seasonal practices that support real healing. These are things I wish I had found earlier — not surface-level advice, but real understanding. The kind that shifts something inside.
What Led Me Here
I grew up without a language for my experience. I was sensitive, intense, intuitive. In my family, that meant I was “weird” at best and “crazy” at worst — labels that isolate rather than explain.
It wasn’t until my late teens that I stumbled upon terms like CEN (Childhood Emotional Neglect), fearful avoidant attachment, complex trauma, or ADHD — and each one felt like a key turning in a long-locked door.
These names didn’t limit me. They offered me understanding, direction, and relief. Suddenly, I wasn’t alone or broken beyond repair — just a person with a story, a pattern, and a path forward.
I believe naming things can be powerful medicine — a map out of the fog. That’s why I often share articles that unpack these concepts clearly and compassionately, offering tools for working with them gently. Because when we understand ourselves, we stop fighting our own nature — and start partnering with it.
Motherhood as a Mirror
Becoming a mother cracked me wide open. All the parts of me I thought I had managed or hidden came rushing to the surface, especially as my daughter grew into toddlerhood: the old wounds, the fear of not being good enough, the desire to do everything differently without knowing how.
Parenting consciously is not about perfection — it’s about awareness, repair, and connection (the “good enough” mothering). It’s about learning how to regulate our own nervous system while helping a tiny person develop theirs. And it’s hard. Especially when you’ve never had that modeled.
Here, I write for the mothers who want to break generational patterns — not by force, but through gentleness. I offer reflections on triggers, emotional regulation, and understanding children’s needs, especially when behavior feels confusing or overwhelming. I write about conflict in partnership, grief and loss, and the raw, unspoken moments of early parenthood.
I want this blog to feel like a companion in the hardest parts — and a celebration of the small, beautiful ones too.
The Power of Living Slowly
I believe in a life that is meaningful, not manic.
In choosing time and presence over performance and hustle.
In saving rather than spending, so I can work in ways that align with my values, not just to get by.
In living with less — not as deprivation, but as devotion.
Minimalism, for me, is a tool for clarity. It has helped me cope with overwhelm, create space for healing, and show my children that joy comes not from what we own, but from what we notice.
I don’t follow strict rules, but I do follow rhythms: of the seasons, of my body and heart. Eating in tune with nature. Dressing warmly in winter, lightly in summer. Spending way more time outside than online.
I’ve come to believe that many of our struggles are amplified by disconnection — from the earth, from our emotions, from each other. And reconnection is the quiet revolution.
My Tools and Passions
Psychology and Inner Work
I’m deeply rooted in IFS (Internal Family Systems), attachment theory, trauma healing, and Jungian archetypes. I believe healing doesn’t have to be clinical or cold — it can be warm, intuitive, creative, and practical. Many of my articles include journal prompts, exercises, and reflection questions that feel like a soft kind of therapy.
Writing and Sharing
Writing is how I make sense of the world. It’s also how I offer what I’ve learned — not as an expert, but as someone walking the same path. I share resources I love (books, YouTube channels, and creators), as well as my own free guides, recipes, and exercises — always with optional donation, because I believe healing tools should be accessible.
Seasonal Living
Honoring nature’s cycles changed everything for me. It helped me stop expecting the same productivity or mood year-round, and instead begin adapting my meals, habits, and expectations to the world around me.
Tarot for Inner Guidance
I use tarot not for fortune-telling, but as a reflective tool. It helps access the unconscious, reveal patterns, and offer new perspectives — like a poetic conversation with your own psyche.
Conscious Simplicity
From cloth diapers to thrifting, homemade skincare to unplugged weekends, I try to live in a way that does as little harm as possible — to people, animals, and the planet. Our food is simple, whole, and mostly plant-based. My children don’t use screens. And they love to share and declutter the way I do.
And in Case You’re Wondering…
- I have a BA in English and Spanish literature, but found my real passion in psychotherapy, motherhood, and self-exploration.
- I’m a former smoker and drinker — self-soothing tools I quit when I saw the kind of mother I wanted to be. That transition — from numbing to noticing — was one of the most powerful turning points in my life. And a very painful one, as it opened doors that had long been held shut.
- These days, I feel at peace with a cup of tea and the sound of leaves in the wind.
- I know how hard it is to be the cycle-breaker. I believe we all are doing the best we can with what we have.
- I believe healing doesn’t mean erasing your past. It means carrying it with kindness.
- I believe it takes a village to raise a child: and that the cost of not having support is burnout. However, a village is built, not found. And it can meet your most cherished values with understanding.
- And I believe that, as the Desiderata poem says:
“You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;
You have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.”
